Dry Eye clinic

Anyone that suffers from dry eyes understands that it is a more  complicated topic than it appears on the surface.  At Aperture, we have  the diagnostic tools to, first, figure out the underlying cause of your  dryness.  Whether it is caused by the lack of tear productions, or the  inability of your tears to remain on your ocular surface, or the tear  protection system is compromised, we will figure out the specific  mechanism that is exacerbating your dry eye symptoms and deal with it  accordingly.

Common treatments include artificial tears.  Even if drops are the right  form of treatment for you, certain ones are better for certain  underlying factors.  Some can be obtained over-the-counter while other drops require a prescription.  If drops are what you need, we will figure out the right ones for you.  However, sometimes, drops are not enough.

Other forms of treatment options include in-office procedures such  meibomian glands expression and punctal plugs.  We can also advise on  in-home modifications and lifestyle changes.  Furthermore, some dry eyes  stem from systemic conditions so we may need to investigate that route  and formulate a management plan for any relevant systemic conditions.   Consider us, at Aperture, your dry eye experts!
